Nissan India records 155 per cent jump in sales in June 2012

Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd has reported a massive 155 per cent jump in sales with total sales of 4,167 units in the month of June 2012. The company had clocked sales of 1,632 units in the corresponding period last year. 

The impressive sales figures has been attributed to Nissan's flagship mid-sized sedan Sunny sedan and the premium compact car, Micra, who together have clocked in sales of 4,157 units. 

The remaining sales figures were filled in by Nissan X-Trail SUV, Nissan Teana sedan and the spots car Nissan 370Z.

Commenting on the robust growth amidst difficult market situations, Mr Ishida Takayuki, managing director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd said, “Though the Indian economy and the local automobile market have been going through some difficulty in the recent times, we have witnessed encouraging sales. This demonstrates that customers prefer Nissan brands in the segments we are present. We are thankful to them and will continue to live up to the expectations of our valued customers”.
