The Special Edition Sunny petrol has been priced at Rs 8.60 lakh, while the diesel guise at Rs 9.68 lakh.
Just few days back, we had reported that Nissan India is gearing up to introduce a special edition of its flagship sedan, Sunny on February 13, 2013. However, staying ahead of the scheduled time, the Japanese automaker has launched the Special Edition Sunny XV Petrol and Special Edition Sunny XV Diesel today in the Indian market at Rs 8,60,054 and Rs 9,68,931 respectively. (Both prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.)
Updates on the special editions of the Sunny are limited to cosmetic bits. On the outside, the model gets a new rear spoiler with chrome plated trunk garnish, while on the inside, the SE Sunny gets a 2 DIN touch screen multimedia system with USB and remote, premium leather seats and a rear parking camera. The mechanical bits remain untouched in both petrol and diesel models.

The special edition Sunny will be offered on sale across all Nissan dealerships in India, starting from today.
Mr Nitish Tipnis, director of sales & marketing of Nissan’s national sales company in India, Hover Automotive India said, “Sunny has been a success in India right from the time of its launch in September 2011 and the car has continued to be a popular choice amongst customers in the mid-sized sedan segment. The launch of this special edition is a ’thank you’ to our customers for making Sunny such a success. We hope to further delight them with the generous range of enhancements on offer and, as you would expect from Nissan, the addition of even more advanced technology.”
