The Captur takes on the Nissan Juke, Ford EcoSport and the Peugeot 2008 in the compact crossover segment.

Renault has officially launched the Captur crossover in France, with prices ranging from €15,500 (nearly Rs 11 lakh) to €22,700 (Rs 16 lakh) depending on the variants and engine options. Having made its online debut right before the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Captur is Renault’s direct rival to the likes of Nissan Juke, Ford EcoSport and the Peugeot 2008.
In terms of variants, the entry level Life trim powered by the Energy Tce90 petrol engine is priced at €15,500 or Rs 11 lakh in India Rupees, while the top-of-the-line Business trim with the dCi 90 diesel engine can be had for €22,700 (Rs 16 lakh).
For those seeking more info on one of the latest crossover to have hit the showrooms, the Captur is based on a modified version of the Renault-Nissan alliance's modular B-Platform, which also underpins the Nissan Juke. In terms of size, the Captur sits between the Renault Clio and the company’s premium hatchback offering, the Megane.
