Sachin Tendulkar could become BMW India's first-ever brand ambassador

The deal between BMW and the master blaster could go through this week.
According to reports, it is understood that BMW India has approached the God of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar to endorse the premium German car brand in the country. The deal is likely to be inked this week, ahead of the official launch of the all-new 2012 BMW F30 3-Series sedan that is slated to get underway on 27 July. It is also said that Sachin Tendukar himself, would hand over the keys to the first 100 customers of the new 3-Series sedan to commemorate his monumental achievement of hitting a hundred centuries.

Being a hard core auto enthusiast himself, Sachin Tendulkar has owned several high-end cars in the past, including the Ferrari 360 Modena that was gifted to him by Fiat, while he was the brand ambassador for the Italian brand in India. Fiat India had also introduced the Fiat Palio S10 edition that had Sachin Tendulkar's signature on the bonnet to honor the legend. In terms of BMW cars, the cricketeer has owned the previous generation M5 and the X5. His wife Anjali too uses an E90 3-Series.
