New Camry comes next month, will be similar to the model shown at the 2012 Auto Expo.
It’s raining luxury cars! The new 3-series comes out this month-end and the Elantra will make a comeback in August. Now our sources close to Toyota have revealed that the new 2012 Camry will be launched in India in a few weeks too.
The current Camry has been around for a quite a while now and is hardly making any noise on the sales charts. However, the all-new Camry displayed at the Toyota exhibit at the 2012 Auto Expo did start the buzz about the flagship Toyota sedan, yet again. Boasting of an all new design, the new Camry looks smarter than the outgoing model. Luxury, comfort and features have always been the Camry’s forte, however, competition like the Skoda Superb, Honda Accord and Volkswagen Passat have made life difficult for the Toyota sedan.

The Japanese carmaker will aim at changing all that with the new Camry and if our sources are to be believed, the 2012 model will be launched in August. Like the Sonata, the new Camry will be available only with a petrol option for now. The 2012 Camry will be powered by a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder Dual-VVT-i petrol engine which puts out over 180 PS of power and 230 Nm of torque. Stay tuned as we bring you more info on the new 2012 Camry for India, as and when it is available to us.
