Skoda Laura 1.8 TSI now available with 7-speed DSG

Skoda's products in India have always been enthusiasts' favourites, all thanks to their sweet handling and decent engine line-up. Now with the next generation Octavia coming to the country soon, Skoda has given the Laura what seems like a final update, in the form of a seven speed DSG gearbox. 

The 1.8 TSI Laura now has the seven speed DSG 'box available as an option. The 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine (same as the one found in the Laura vRS) makes 160PS of power but is claimed to return a higher fuel economy of 14.6kmpl with the new gearbox. It gets wider 205-section 16" rubber and all the equipment that you get in the standard Ambition trim. Available at Rs 16.05 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai, the DSG equipped Laura 1.8 TSI promises to bring the goodness of the globally acclaimed dual clutch DSG box in a very capable car. 

With the new Octavia expected to arrive later this year, it all depends if you want to spend on an already stellar product or wait for its replacement.
