The price hike will come into effect from early August 2012.
Skoda India has announced that their entire range of cars will now be more expensive by about 1 to 1.8 per cent. The price hike will come into effect from early August. According to the company, rising input prices and uneven exchange rates have led to the increment in the prices of all the models.
Although, despite the challenging market environment which has dampened the sentiment across the auto industry, Skoda Auto India registered a growth of 89 per cent in June 2012 over the same period last year.

The Indian market is being considered as an important centre of growth, ever since the company’s entry in India over a decade ago. Under its “2018 Growth Strategy”, Skoda aims to increase its global sales to at least 1.5 million per year.
