The much awaited SUV from Tata will finally make its commercial debut next month.
The cat will finally be out of the bag! The much awaited Tata Safari Storme that was first presented at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi, will make its commercial entry by mid-October 2012. Though the exact date has not been announced yet, we are told that the Safari Storme will be launched between October 16 and 19, 2012 and will go on sale instantly to take advantage of the festive rush.

The Safari Storme has been caught on test through the length and breadth of the country umpteen number of times in the last three years and there is word that the SUV has undergone constant changes and development throughout this period. With increasing heat from vehicles like the XUV500 and the slew of compact crossovers heading towards the market, it was essential for Tata to convert the Safari Storme from what could have been a mere facelift, to something that can qualify as a more comprehensive package. Though still powered by the proven 2.2-litre DICOR diesel engine, the Storme also borrows all the upgraded mechanicals from the Aria. These are expected to give the SUV a more efficient and refined performance over the outgoing model.
Stay tuned to OnCars.in for all the info and updates as we get closer to launch of the Safari Storme! Till then, check out our story on what to expect from the Safari Storme.
