Volkswagen Jetta 1.4-litre TSI launched for Rs 13.60 lakh

Volkswagen has launched the new petrol version of their D-segment sedan, the Jetta, for a starting price of Rs 13.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This petrol version is powered by a frugal 1.4-litre turbo-charged TSI engine producing 122PS and 200Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and VW is offering two trimmings of the petrol Jetta – Trendline and Comfortline.

The base variant of the Jetta TSI (Trendline) petrol is little over one lakh cheaper than the diesel version. On the exteriors, the new car gets new alloy wheels, rear fog lights, indicators on the ORVMs, parking sensors and dual exhaust pipes. The Jetta TSI gets leather upholstery along with leather covers for steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake. The car is also equipped with music system with eight-speakers, AC with climate control and height adjustment for the front seats. 

Volkswagen has not compromised on the safety and the Jetta TSI also comes with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), ABS with EBD, Hill Hold Control and six airbags.
