Fiat Linea facelift

Like the upcoming Fiat Punto facelift, the Linea too will be given a mid-life makeover. Since its launch in late 2008, the Linea has remained one of the most elegant looking sedans in the market. The facelift though, isn’t as impressive - at least from the what we see in the model that’s now being sold in Turkey and other key markets that the Linea is sold in.
The facelift model of the Linea features a new two-slat grille which replaces the large trapezoidal unit seen on the current model. The bumpers have been revised with a new, larger air-dam, revised fog lamps and oodles of chrome garnish. The tailgate witnesses even more chrome and the ‘Linea’ badge is now embossed within a chrome-bar on the bootlid. There is a revised diffuser too - but quite frankly, all these elements look like an afterthought. As much as we wish for the new Punto facelift to come to India, we pray that the Linea facelift isn’t similar to the one launched in the global market.
Expect the Linea facelift to be launched by late-2013 or early 2014. It will continue to do duty until the all-new Linea arrives in 2015.
