Ford Endeavour refresh

Ford’s Endeavour has been long overdue for replacement. The model has been given two facelifts until now and even its its current guise, it does look macho and hardcore as compared to most other SUVs in its segment. But that said, the ageing styling has taken a toll on the Endeavour. However, an all-new model based on the current Ford Ranger pick-up is still some time away. In the meantime, Ford India is said to be working on yet another upgrade that will breathe some fresh air into the slow moving brand.

The upgraded Endeavour will feature a mildly facelifted design with re-styled plastic parts and additional chrome garnish. The interiors could be tweaked too with additional features from the innumerable limited edition models that the Endeavour was sold in. The interesting bit though is that Ford India is tweaking the mechanicals as well. The engine is being re-tuned for better fuel economy and drivability.

The upgraded Endeavour is expected to hit the road by mid-2013, in the same price range as the current model.
