M&M will also bring the electric Reva NXR to the Delhi Auto Expo.
Mahindra & Mahindra purchased the Reva Electric Car Company in May 2010 and seems to be harnessing every bit of electric vehicle technology available at its disposal, which probably explains the all-new electric variant of the company’s sedan, the Mahindra Verito. The all-electric Verito will be taking its first public bow at the upcoming Auto Expo, which will kick start on January 5, 2012.
Along with the electric Verito, the electric car Reva NXR will also be sharing the platform of electric vehicles. The Reva NXR is based on the parent company’s existing model, the Mahindra Revai, but the new model will come with a better top speed and cover more distance per charge.
“The Delhi Auto Expo is the perfect platform to showcase Mahindra’s commitment to technological advancements and innovative automotive solutions that are showcased in our gamut of vehicles from two wheelers to heavy trucks.” Pawan Goenka, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra said.
Mahindra will also unveil vehicles from its South Korean acquisition, Ssangyong – the Rexton and Korando C SUVs – at the New Delhi Auto Expo. Also on display will be the Mahindra Thar, Scorpio and the hot-selling XUV500.
