Ducati India will launch the made-for-Asia Monster 795 at the 2012 Auto Expo
Ducati had launched the Monster 795 in Thailand and Malaysia a few weeks back, touting it as the first made-for-Asia version in its popular Monster line-up. Since India is currently a lucrative market for such high performance machines, Ducati has decided to replace the Monster 796 in India with the new 795.
The Ducati Monster 795, contrary to its name, is powered by a 803cc petrol engine that produces over 90 PS of power and 78 Nm of torque. With a dry weight of a little over 165 kg, the Monster 795 will be easily flickable in traffic, making it an ideal performance street bike for India. Being a made-for-Asia model, the Monster 795 will sport a shorter seat height as compared to the 796 – and should therefore be a favourite amongst the fairer sex too.
The Ducati Monster 795 will be launched in India at the 2012 Auto Expo on Jan 6, 2012 and is expected to be priced under Rs 7 lakh. The 795 will go on sale early this year with bookings commencing immediately after its launch.
