BMW India have officially announced that the company will be rolling out the updated 5-Series in the country on 10 October, 2013 at an event that is slated to get underway in Gurgaon. The announcement from the German automaker may come across as a surprise, since the model is being launched in India within a few days of its global unveiling. However, it only highlights the fact that after slipping to the number three position in the luxury car segment, BMW India quickly wants to make its move in order to rival the new Mercedes Benz E-Class and the Audi A6.
On the list of updates on the new 5-Series is a redesigned set of corona rings, re-tweaked front fascia with a new design bumper, narrower tail lamps and chrome garnish on the rear bumper.
We expected the new 5-Series to be priced slightly higher than the current model and the variant line-up as well, is expected to remain unchanged. Stay tuned to OnCars, as we bring you all the live updates and information about the 2014 BMW 5-Series.
