Yesterday’s grand debut of the Ford Mustang not only included the regular Fastback coupe, but also the equally bold convertible model. The coupe may have taken away the limelight but if you ask us, the Mustang convertible is a thing to behold.
Although looking nearly the same as the coupe, the convertible looks that extra bit special with its long bonnet, muscular side profile and the folding soft-top. Speaking of which, this new model has a multilayer cloth top which apparently lends the car a more upscale appearance. The material also serves the purpose as it comes with additional insulation for less road noise on the move.
Like the regular Mustang fastback, the convertible will be offered with three different engine options. The entry-level 300PS 3.7-liter V6, more advanced 2.3-litre EcoBoost 4-cylinder unit with 305PS and the range-topping 5-litre V8 with over 420PS of power.
