General Motors eyes 8 to 10 per cent growth in the Indian market with a number of new launches in the coming months. The company has already launched the facelift Tavera Neo3, next in line are the Sail hatchback and sedan, along with these the company will also the facelift Captiva and a new MPV called the Enjoy. All of these were displayed at the 2012 Auto Expo and GM will now introduce them in a span of one year.
One of the most important launches for GM this year will be the new MPV Enjoy, which has been developed with its new Chinese partner, SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation). Though, this vehicle was displayed at the Auto Expo, it is still under development and now our friends at burnyourfuel have now caught a test mule in Bangalore – possibly close to the GM’s R&D facility. The photos clearly show that there are three AC vents on the dashboard in the front; mostly to avoid having additional vents in the rear – this looks like a cost cutting measure so that it can compete with the Ertiga once launched. There are no changes to the exterior as compared to the example on display at the expo.
