Ford has been busy testing the next-generation KA small car which, incidentally, could also be the next-generation Figo. A pair of heavily camouflaged prototypes were spotted, and thankfully photographed recently in Brazil.
From the image above, it appears that these prototypes could be of the next-gen Figo, but that is just speculation. Having said that, a few Ford design traits including the long, squinty headlamps and the high bonnet shut-line is pretty obvious. The rear-end design, however, is something we have not seen before on a Ford small car. The protruding tailgate is very Grand i10-esque and the taillight design seems to be inspired from the 1-Series.
Powering this new small car will be a pair of 1-litre, 3-cylinder petrol and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engines. The petrol unit is of course the internationally acclaimed 1-litre EcoBoost engine currently found in the EcoSport. The 1.5-litre diesel, on the other hand, could be sourced from the current Fiesta.
