While the earlier reports seem to suggest otherwise, Road & Track is quite clear in stating that the upcoming and hugely awaited M3-sedan and M4-coupe will have a manual transmission .
Although we know Americans as the people who love driving the big engined petrol-guzzling pick-up trucks, their love for manuals can’t be ignored. And BMW cannot ignore that either, so when the rest of the world got an automatic-gearbox equipped M5, the United States of America received one with a stick-shift and three pedals.
But while BMW might stop selling the manual M5 soon, it will launch the M3 and M4 with a manual gearbox, at least in the States. And that’s a great thing, not just for enthusiasts but for the brand which has been known for delivering “Sheer Driving Pleasure”.
