Following the introduction of the all-new Grand i10, Hyundai Motor India is now focussing on its upcoming sedan based on the entry-level hatchback. According to some new insider information that we have come across, it is understood that the said Grand i10 based sedan is looking to debut during the first quarter of the financial year 2014-15.
We already knew that thew Grand i10 sedan will use the same wheelbase as its hatchback sibling and will remain identical up to the B-pillar. The Grand i10 also benefits from an extended wheelbase as compared to the regular i10, which tells us that the sedan version will boast of good space and comfort in the back seat.
It should also be noted that the Grand i10 has a 45mm longer wheelbase than its European counterpart. This is to enable the Grand i10's chassis to spawn not only a compact sedan but also a compact crossover. The said compact crossover will however, only debut in the market in 2015.
