Some would say that 2012 hasn’t exactly been the year of booming sales in the utility vehicle segment; however, the good chaps at Mahindra are likely to believe otherwise. That’s because the company is leading the utility vehicle market by a fair margin with over 48,100 vehicles sold in the month of November.
When compared to 40,722 units sold during November last year, Mahindra recorded an 18 per cent year-on-year sales jump. In the passenger vehicle space, the company sold well over 24,000 units this month as compared to around 17,800 units during the same period last year.
With products like the Xylo, the XUV500 and the recently launched Quanto managing to sell in big numbers in the domestic market, Mahindra is on a roll. Now with the sales of export models including the XUV 500 and the Scorpio picking up at a rather swift pace, Mahindra is continuing its steady growth in the global markets too.
