Mahindra and Mahindra will be launching the e2o plus, its four-door version of the two-door e2o in India tomorrow. The launch date of the same was revealed by the automaker this week itself. Ahead of this, we saw Mahindra teasing a couple of images of the e2o Plus on its various social media platforms along with making live the micro-site of the same. The e2o Plus will be the fourth all-electric vehicle to be launched by the homegrown automaker in India. The first three were the e2o, the eVerito and the recently launched eSupro passenger and good carrier.
Talking about the e2o Plus, so it will be sharing the same 72 V 3-Phase electric AC Induction motor which produce 39Bhp of power along with 91Nm of peak torque. The transmission responsibilities are expected to be taken care of by a single speed automatic gearbox. The battery pack on board, on a single charge is expected to take the e2o Plus to a total of 80 to 100Km.
Speaking about the Mahindra e2oPlus, Pravin Shah, Director, Mahindra Electric, said, “The e2oPlus is all about positive additions. We have incorporated additional space - something that would delight our customers. We have also added extra range and fast charging, among other very interesting ‘pluses’. I am confident that this new model will be a game changer not only in the electric vehicles segment but also among all other categories of cars”. The company promises that the e2o Plus will be better in every way that the existing e2o. The same will offer improved levels of comfort along with an improved battery live with increase range. In terms of its exterior design profile, the e2o Plus will derive most of its inspiration from the existing e2o two-door. This means that the same is going to feature a futuristic profile with bold character lines. The front facia of the e2o Plus is likely to remains completely identical to the e2o two-door. In the teaser images, one can clearly make out that the rear profile of the e2o Plus is going to feature an all new design. The interiors of the e2o Plus will most likely similar in their design specifications as the vehicle’s two-door sibling. The material quality will be towards the premium side of things along with providing all the basic features and practicality expected out of a four-door hatchback. The prices of the e2o Plus four-door are expected to fall in the bracket of INR 6 to 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
