Maruti Ciaz will be available in both petrol and diesel engine version in India. Ciaz will take on the current market leaders like Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento. On the styling front, the Ciaz overall will be lot more aggressive and futuristic than the SX4, sporting a big chrome grill at the front with sharply designed head lamps. A side and restyling will also be lot more strain than what you see in concept version, but still more aggressive when compared to current SX4. Maruti will also position Ciaz higher than SX4, and will be priced one segment higher.
Talking about the engine, the petrol engine of Ciaz is powered by 1.4 litre K series -K14B engine, which can produce the max power of 95 bhp and 130 nm of torque, while 1.3 litre DDIS diesel engine can generate the power of 90 bhp and 200 nm of torque.
Overall Maruti will have lot of competition for the new Ciaz as the current sedans like Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Nissan Sunny and new 2014 Ford Fiesta have already made the market crowded.
