Mercedes Benz is rejoicing now since it has announced that over 10 million units of the C-class line-up have been delivered to the customers ever since the compact line was introduced back in 1982 with the Mercedes Benz 190. Now in its fourth generation, the C-class is undoubtedly one of the most successful models for the brand around the world. Even in India, the C-class has been a segment leader for a significant time and was one of the most sought after models from Mercedes Benz India since it was the entry-level Merc until the A- and B-class came along. The C-class was introduced to India in early 2000s with the W203 model.
Dr Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars: “The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a global success story. Sales of over 10 million C-Class cars speak for themselves. Launched as the ‘Baby Benz’, it is now one of the most popular cars in the premium segment. The innovative engineering and impressive efficiency of the C-Class have been inspiring our customers for more than 30 years.”
