Those keeping close watch on the next generation Toyota Corolla will remember that the car was first caught on test back in August last year. The prototype was seen featuring a far livelier design than the one found in the current generation Corolla.
And while the design appeared to borrow cues from its bigger sibling, the Camry; these new images leaked from a Japanese brochure reveal that the next gen Corolla will look more or less like the current model sold in India. However, on the inside, the new Corolla gets a completely redesigned dashboard with a sportier set of dials besides an all new center console.
Underneath, like the new 2012 Camry, Toyota is likely to continue with the existing power-train albeit with a few updates for better performance and fuel economy. However, we expect this next generation model to come with an all-new automatic gearbox instead of the dated 4-speed unit found in the current Corolla.
