Furthermore, brace yourselves, since the revised prices quoted above is not inclusive of of local sales tax or VAT. So, the actual hike in fuel prices will be higher and will vary from city to city.
In the capital for example, the cost of petrol will go up by Rs 2.83 per litre to Rs 74.10 per litre, while in Mumbai the cost of petrol will shoot up to Rs 81.57 per litre from the current Rs 78.61 per litre.
While, the cost of diesel in the capital from midnight will read Rs 51.97 per litre and Rs 58.86 per litre in Mumbai.
