The Rolls Royce Wraith is now officially on sale in India. Priced at Rs 4.4 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) the Wraith joins the British carmaker’s Indian lineup consisting of the Phantom and the Ghost. Besides launching this new model, Rolls Royce has also said that it will embark on a 3-month tour of India which will commence from New Delhi.
Based on the ultra luxurious four-door Ghost, the Wraith coupe is not just said to be the most luxurious vehicle in its class, but also the most powerful Rolls Royce ever. Under the long hood sits a massive 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 engine from the Ghost. However, to complement the Wraith’s sporty nature, the V12 engine puts out 625 PS of power as against 560PS in the Ghost. With nearly 800Nm of torque coming in from as low as 1,500 revs, Rolls Royce says the Wraith is capable of hitting 100 kmph from standstill in just around 4.6 seconds.
The Wraith is 130mm shorter than the Ghost and is also wider and lower than the latter. Combine that to the wheelbase that is 183mm shorter than that of the Ghost, the Wraith is sure to be much more agile on the road.
With a base price of Rs 4.6 crore, the Wraith already is an expensive affair, however, delve deep into the expensive options list and you will be looking at shelling out anywhere between Rs 5 to 6 crore!
Having launched the Phantom here in India over a decade ago, Rolls Royce has come a long way and intends to have a total of 5 dealerships in India by the end of this fiscal year.
