Newest in line of carmakers teasing brand new concepts ahead of the next month’s Tokyo Motor Show, Subaru has released a teaser of the Levorg concept which hints at a new model currently under development. The company says the production model will hit the showrooms in Japan in 2014.
The name ‘Levorg’ comes from a combination of the words ‘Legacy’, ‘Revolution’ and ‘Touring’, according to Subaru, this new model promises to blend the practicality of a tourer and the dynamic design and feel of a sports car.
The Levorg will feature an all-new 1.6-litre Boxer engine with direct injection turbo technology. The concept will be joined on the Subaru showroom floor by another new concept vehicle called the Crossover 7 concept, a seven-seat SUV designed to combine the rough daily usage with real off-road capability.
