In an exclusive scoop a few weeks back, we revealed the new facelifted Indica Vista. As we showed you in the spy photos, the 2011 Indica Vista facelift will borrow the headlights and grille from the Indigo Manza. The test mule we caught (pictured above) was painted in a sporty yellow colour and it could make it into production along with a few new colours. The rear windshiled will get a plastic panel on the bottom lip to add a hint of spotiness. Expect some sporty vinyls on the bodywork. The infamous Tata alloy wheels which debuted on their special edtion cars like the Indica Vista Anniversary edtions and the Indigo Manza Elan, will now make thier way onto the diesel version of the Indica Vista facelift as well.
There are reports that the new Vista will be launched on 22nd of August 2011. There are reports that the 'Terra, Aqua, Aura and Aura+' variant monikers will make way for more conventional LS, LX, VX and ZX variant badging. While no news is out on the expected pricing of the 2011 Tata Indica facelift, we expect the price tags to remain more or less the same as the current Indica Vista. We don’t be surprised if Tata even adds a new diesel variant to the Indica Vista line-up with the top-of-the-line Punto’s 90hp Multijet diesel engine.
The facelift and the probable engine upgrade will come in good time to lure prospective Swift customers who are not willing to wait for the all-new Swift, now that the pre-launch bookings for the same have gone over 40,000 numbers!
