While the entire automotive industry in india struggles to meet with the impact of demonitization, Tata Motors has come ahead with a ray of hope for the future. The Homegrown automaker witnesses an increase in its global wholesales by about 4 percent by selling a total of 95,081 units for the month of December 2016. Cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were 8,22,807 units, higher by about 9 percent, over FY15-16.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in December 2016 were 30,879 units, lower by 5 percent, compared to December 2015. Cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for the fiscal were 2,84,681 units higher by 4 percent, over FY15-16. Global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in December 2016 were at 64,202 units, higher by 8 percent, compared to December 2015. Global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 53,063 vehicles (*Contains CJLR volume of 8,184 for the month of Dec’16) Jaguar wholesales for the month were 15,879 vehicles, and cumulative wholesales were 1,26,661 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the month were 37,184 vehicles, while its cumulative wholesales no. were 2,95,633 vehicles. Cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 4,22,294 vehicles.
