Japanese automaker, Honda entered lucrative MPV segment of Indian market by launching Mobilio at INR 6.79 Lakh. This elegant 7-seater MPV is a perfect combination of sport and elegance as it offers sporty exterior design, space and comfort in the right size to suit as per requirements of Indian consumers.
Talking about the exteriors, Honda Mobilio gets sporty bumpers, LED headlamps, side skirts, roof spoiler that gives it an aggressive look. Honda Mobilio intends to attract younger audience that look out for some distinctive features along with the realism of an MPV. Honda Mobilio is more appealing and lively when compared with its rivals. The front fascia is based on the Brio hatchback, looks very stylish and elegant. Moreover, the side profile and rear-end of the Mobilio gets a distinctive look. However, Mobilio RS is a sportier version and features such as projector headlamps with LED lamps, unique alloy wheels, sportier chrome grille, tail-gate spoiler, retractable wing mirrors along with turn indicators and chrome exterior door handles derives it with sporty look and appearance. As far as the dimensions are concerned, Honda Mobilio measures 4386mm in length, 1683mm in width and 1603mm in height.
As far as the interiors are concerned, it is developed on the Philosophy of “Man Maximum, Machine Minimum” from Honda which ensures optimum utilization of space and providing well designed interiors. Moreover, the internal design and layout is similar to that of Honda Brio and Honda Amaze. On safety aspects, Honda Mobilio comes has included front dual SRS Airbags, ABS with EBD and Immobilizer with Anti-Theft System.
Under the hood, Honda Mobilio is offered in both petrol as well as diesel engine options. The petrol variant comes with a 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine that has the capability to generate maximum power of 119PS and peak torque of 145Nm. Talking about the diesel variant, comes equipped with a 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine that has the capability to produce 100PS of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties are carried out by 5-speed manual transmission and also delivers decent fuel efficiency of 17.3kmpl for petrol variant whereas 24.5kmpl for the diesel variant. Moreover, Honda also offers an RS version available on the Diesel model which bears a sporty appeal.
Honda Mobilio competes with cars such as Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia and the Chevrolet Enjoy in MPV segment.
