By the end of 2012, Ratan Tata confirmed that the Nano will be given a refresh in 2013. The Nano is definitely undergoing a facelift as the innumerable spy shots suggest. The need for the facelift is not only time-bound, but also because the upcoming Nano diesel and the Nano 800 require revised bumpers, cooling ducts and air-dams.
The new front fascia is expected to draw inspiration from the Megapixel Concept that Tata showcased in 2012. The concept shows the design direction that the Tata cars will head in, in the time to come. The Safari Storme as already adopted part of the new design theme with the new grille and the swept-back headlights. We expect the Nano to get redesigned headlights too. The tailgate will see a new bumper design with a classier array of vents and creases. There will also be an openable hatch - which until now was missing on the entire Nano line-up.
The new design will adopted across the entire line-up of the upcoming Nano variants - the Nano diesel, the Nano 800 and the 2014 Nano 624 / CNG. Expect the facelift Nano and the new line-up to make its debut at the 2014 Auto Expo.
